We had just wrapped up in the ghost town of White Cloud City and were driving at sunset into La Plata Canyon where we would take on our next journey which was Mountain Well. The road will take us into a narrow canyon where we ended up having a flat tire. Their are allot of little sharp rocks on the rugged road leading up into La Plata then again it depends which way you journey into this place. But by the time we were able resolve the flat tire since the jeep fell off the jack and sank into the soft sand it was nightfall. While this was a discouraging end because we almost made it to Mountain Well it would give us hope to return again a week later so we could follow out our adventure to Mountain Well a ranching community in the 1800's, La Plata a silver mining camp and eventually right up over the Stillwater Mountains which are some of the most scenic mountains in Northern Nevada. We were tired, cold and it was dark out so we called it a night then went out to dinner at The Wok. It was just a crazy day but also it goes to show our viewers that when you are in the middle of nowhere anything can get wrong and in the video you can hear the flat tire as the treads become separated on the rocks. We would return again for round two but man what a discouraging end it was!
